next part. think im talking to myself here.
Tyranid bio weapon. Captain Perdithus watch as Angelo’s head was engulfed in acidic slime. His anger raging to new heights as Angelo’s head melted in its helmet.
Charging the closest Tyranid warrior Perdithus “BY THE WATER AND WAVE” razed his battered hammer…..
The captain woke and sat bolt upright, his eyes adjusting to the bright light. A searing pain shot down his left side. Or as to say what was left of his left side. He found several tubes and needles sticking out from the stumps of him left arm and leg. Bandages covered sections of his chest; below these he found newly formed scars that extended from collar bone on the right side to his hip on the left.
“Ah our esteemed Captain returns to the land of the living, Emperor be praised”.
Turning his head Brother apothecary Boronus came into view “ah ever cynical Boronus, but what happened why am I here. Where is Sergeant Apolus”.
“Brother Apolus, will be back shortly, but first you must rest your wounds are severe and I must treat them first questions can come later”.
An injection clouded the Captains vision as his body slumped back on to the surgical table.
“…wa… up y… I said wa… WAKE UP DAMIT”
Perdithus’s eyes fluttered open to find Captain Dreg standing over him. “ah so our hero awakens, it would take a war band of orks to rouse you from slumber friend. Ah but what I’m saying, I’m here to thank you. Because of your injuries I took command of our forces and held them at bay for a week. My name will forever be remembered on the walls of our great hall, but alas we also lost many brothers, many good and strong brothers”.
“start again what happened”.
Taking a seat next to Perdithus, “well lets see, first off you were downed by a Tyranid warrior. Brother Boronus had to remove the remains of you arm and leg, which the warrior did not so cleanly. After that your company drove the Tyranids on to the venerable Visiton’s fire power. Moving the forces from the other flank Captain Prax followed Brother Visiton’s advice and struck hard and fast pushing the enemy still further towards the Eldar position. (a wicked grin crossed his face) For alien scum the Eldar battled bravely but the horde of Tyranids were to much for them and were decimated. Lucky for us they took with them many of the Tyranids with them. Reeling from the Eldar attack my forces smashed in to their front lines hacking and dismembering blood bile and other unsightly bio fluids covered the battle ground. I killed several warriors myself, but that is a tale for another time. Unfortunately we had to retreat several more bio ships of the hive fleet have arrived. On top of that we have a very serious and possibly chapter scale disaster on our hands”. Dreg looked down at his feet, taking several breaths he continued “the imperial inquisition has found us….”.
