I recently bought the new Leman Russ kit and was wondering if anybody had some advice, or even a tutorial on making the sponsons magnetic, so the tank can be fielded with or without them. And also so you can change which weapons go in the sponsons and hull mount. The later I think I can get away without magnetizing, but would prefer to magnetize them so they don't fall out when I go to move the tank, or is friction enough to keep them in place?

the easiest thing for the guns, so they dont fall out (this what i done), is when you clean the mold lines off, leave the mold lines on the part that goes in the socket mount, and they will help keep the gun in place. as for the magets, just use a couple of small rare earth magnets mounted on the sponson and 2 matching ones on the hull.
I do beleave thats how the son of horus (i think) done the sponsons on his LR's he posted a few weeks ago, so im sure he can tell you the best way to do it
