im trying to decide between the two. the scorpions superior speed and lower cost along with the ignores cover demolisher cannon are nice, but the D weapon and the long range s8 on the LOS are great plus psychic powers don't auto perils when you cast on it. you guys have any thought on which is better?

Depends whether you think you'll be tarpitted by a large infantry squad (in which case the Scorpion is better, with extra stomps and all) or if you think you'll run up against super-heavies (Knights and such), in which case the LoS might be better. The Be'lakor Invisible LoS is a pretty cool combo, I admit... expensive as hell though it is.

I was thinking along those lines. not too sure what i'll be running into. might throw in a dread claw full of melta to take care of knights or ranged d weapons. elder/dark elder, bike spam, and drop pod swarms are likely to be in the mix.

...for all that a Lord of Skulls being made invisible by Be'lakor is a tempting option, I can't help but feel like going with the cool model is the better option. Plus, hey, when the GBSoK explodes, it should be in the heart of the enemy line, taking a whole lot with it!

Well Cheaper for points... Though I think a baneblade will make it into my Great Company at some point.

I think Chaos Baneblades are really cool, as a matter of fact - weirdly enough, I'm the opposite, and don't think they feel right with a Space Marines army but for Chaos Space Marines I have no problem with them.

I tend to use them with my traitor guard, renegades and heretics, or whatever theyre called this week. they feel right in that army.
