I'm wondering if you're allowed to pivot the hellstorm template as shown in the pic:

The cannon is not on a pivot, it is simply attached to the hull. I would assume that you have to fire on a straight angle, but I really don't know:scratchhead:.

The wording of the rules on firing the puss canon seems to allow what you show in your diagram- As long as the narrow end in within 18" of the gun almost any angled shots seems to be legal as long as the wide end is no closer than the narrow end...
