Sounds like you're getting the Tyranid contents of the Battle For Macragge, plus the Tyrant. It's a good starting point. It'll get you a legal army, and you can start learning the game with it pretty well.
With Tyranids, be prepared to lose a lot of models in a game! They come in dozens in even the smallest games, but even the lowly Imperial Guardsman with a lasgun will kill some before they make it into close combat. They're a very fun army to play with and against though, so don't worry about losing guys-- it's always a nailbiter to the finish with the bugs.
