Hello! I am excited to be here. I played 40k pretty briefly around 10 or 11 years ago (I think 5th ed was new enough that no one I played with had any of the codices yet) and recently found some old models at a garage sale and decided to get back into it. They were mostly Space Marines, so I decided to start there. I would like to try Eldar and Tyrannid again, though, as I enjoyed them a lot before.

I will say that reading these forums has already been helpful for me to try to decide what to buy to get my army started. It'll probably be a while before I actually play a full-sized army, because I am not that good at painting (but I'm also something of a perfectionist) so it takes me a while to finish units and I don't even have everything I need yet.

I hope to benefit a lot from all of your wisdom!

With the new allies rule presented in 6th edition you can start collecting your second army and play both in the same game. Although Eldar/Tyranid/Space Marine are not the best of friends you can make it happen and combine forces.

Man, that's really helpful to know! Now, I'm wondering if I should build both armies concurrently or keep focusing on SM... Either way, thanks for the tip!
