I just bought some new headphones. Decent ones this time rather than the cheap ones (well as decent as you can get over here). They are some Philips Hifi Stero ones. Oh. My. God. I'm in heaven. The sound quality is amazing.

Listening to "Where Dragons Rule" by Dragonforce and "Song For Clay" by Bloc Party and I'm hearing parts of the song I've never heard before. And thats while its on iTunes. God knows what I'm going to hear when I go back to the CD. I'm going to be taking care of these puppies. Anybpdy even touchs them they die!

So what about you guys, any favourite brands/models, is sound quality important to you and are you willing to shell out more for good quality?

I personally use icemats
Work great, and have a surprisingly well working detachable clip microphone.
Plus they're only around $70 (on newegg), which is surprisingly cheap considering that most of my CS team uses sennheisers and not only are they more expensive but they can only be used as headsets.
Then again, to be honest, these headphones don't hold a candle to sennheisers, great none the less though.

I will usually spend the money for higher end equipment. This is more for my family and friends enjoyment, as I was basically born deaf on one side. So I could not tell the difference headphone wise.

i've got a pair of sony studio monitor headphones...never could stand earbuds. they work remarkably well for costing about $30 US, though i would be willing to pay more for a better pair...

oh, and the main reason i got them was actually because they came with a 1/4" headphone jack adaptor, so i can use them to run by bass through my effects box...practice without an amp

I want to get a decent pair of wireless headphones for work. Only catch is that I want them to be roughly the same size as normal headphones, not the kind that cover your entire ear.
