help please..

a friend of mine had a unit of nurgles
and a chaos lord (with deamon sword)don't know what else
slaanesh gives you I 6?

what happend

I used paroxsim (psychic power)
giving him BS 1 and WS 1
then i charged with my flyrant and trygon prime
he could not reach the trygon or the flyrant with his lord so i killed al his marines

next turn
he striked first I6
and he was hitting the trygon and the flyrant first
but he did say that if he roll a 6 to wound it was a intant death for a creature he was hitting
without making a psychic test
is this legal play????

but he claimed this

A daemon weapon gives him +D6 attacks per combat (on a roll of a 1 he hits him self for 1 power weapon hit). Giving him the MOS gives him a I6 as well as changes the secondary effect of the Daemonw eapon. You see there are 6 types of daemon weapon. Abbandons, Undevided, Nurlge, Khorne, Tzeetch and Slannesh. The Slannesh one inflicts isnteant death reguardless of what he rolls. So ya it was leagal and possibly the best Daemon weapon you cna use agianst Nids (due to all the multi-wound modals with no eternal warrior)

As Jaws tried to explain with broken English, the Daemon Weapon he was holding was, due to him being equipped with a Mark of Slaanesh, the Blissgiver.
The Blissgiver is a two-handed weapon which adds 1D6 attacks in Close Combat, ignores Armour Saves, and inflicts Instant Death with any successful wounds; if he rolls a 1 on his attack number roll, he suffers a penalty because the weapon attacks the wielder.

It is also legal for a single model to split its attacks between multiple units, this has to be declared before any rolls to attack are made however.
If he did not declare HOW he was splitting his attacks, then he followed an illegal procedure.
Other than that, what he did was correct, Tyranids hate Instant Death with a vengeance.

Tyrannofex? Gone, due to Wraithcannon.
Hive Tyrant? Gone, due to Force Weapon and not having an Invulnerable save.
Carnifex? Gone, due to JotWW Q-Q

Actually, a little trick I have used is to have some Genestealers ready to support a Trygon. That way they can assault if needed and get some nice rending attacks in at a higher 'I'.

What I'm finding amazing is that the Lord didn't turn and run after losing the first round of combat.
Lord's fearless.

Second he only wounds you on a six, with three attacks base he's only going to hit you(+3-4 for the 1d6) about three times. So he has a fifty percent chance to kill something, note that he isn't immune to ID either, and he's only got a sad little 5+ invul save to bust through.

Though if you want to be safe, just take lash whips.
