Please help with HE gunline "Bowline" Against horde armies

Ok I want to build a traditional gunline against my buddies Rats but at 1000 points I dont know if thats enough.
His units are so cheap I dont know if I can kill enough I was thinking of starting with:

2 units Archers 20 strong each in 2 ranks of 10 each
2 units Spearmen 15 each 3 ranks of 5
and 2 bolt throwers


This is just a starting idea
Anybody who plays Bowline HE have any suggestions for 1000 points?

Personally, I would go with Lothern Sea Guard. Once your spearmen are charged, you basically can't shoot whatever charged them, and stuff will fly across the board quite quickly now. With free reform from musician, it's pretty easy to go from 2 deep to whatever would be most beneficial to you. Besides, they're one point more expensive as I recall.
