I read on Lexicanum that after the first war the old ones had with the necrontyr, the necrontyr were forced back to a world in the Halo stars. In the new Imperial Guard codex on the subject of the Macharian Crusade that it ground to a halt at the fringe of the ghost stars due to the solders fear.

Could their be any coloration between these two things? Could the stars hold hidden Necron secrets, technologies or dormant gods?

I am really interested in the origins of the universe, through the canon of warhammer 40k anyways. Things such as the original races, i know the C'tan were the first beings but was the first real race the necronytr or the old ones or was there another that preceded this.

Also the creation of the warp and the entities in it are interesting. Were there things in the warp before the current warp gods?

Any other information about these periods would be awesome.

The Halo Stars near the Calixis Sector are pretty much unconquered space. Small fringe outposts, cut off frontier worlds and other fun stuff. Definitely a huge xenos presence so it wouldn't surprise me that there are a few civilizations floating around along with Necrons.
