I believe they said they were not discontinuing any armies anymore like they did with Squats.
i don't recall that myself.
what i do remember is that they said they weren't going to introduce any new armies unless they were going to be a permanent addition to the game.
but my supplier said they cant get the codex they stoped printing GK codex.
the Codex was taken out of print a few months ago (along with the Witch Hunter's book) and is now available as a free download
here.
here is what i have found on the google searches
i don't mean to piss on your bonfire, but that photo of 'plastics' is a shot of the resin masters of the current lot of Grey Knights from when they were announced at Games Day so long ago. there was an enormous hoo-ha at the time because people thought they were coming out in plastics, as they didn't understand the model making process. now that GW can utalise 3D printing, there is much less need for resin masters, so if it looks plastic it generally is.
rest assured if (and when) they do release plastic GK they will be different enough to require you to change your whole army if you want it to look up-to-date. it costs a lot to produce a plastic mould and GW wouldn't shoot themselves in the foot by producing a kit that you didn't 'have' to have.
EDIT:
as for the art work, i think you need to do a little more investigation on it. simply scrolling over the pic tell me that the file name attributes it to an artist called St Theo. if you type his name and 'Grey Knights' into google you find his Deviant Art page (
link). he's obviously a designer of some skill and talent, but he is clearly only a fan of GW and not in there employ. he is also, unsurprisingly, the artist behind that artwork that was touted by many forumites as being the next front cover of the Codex: GK (page 4) which turned out to be wrong. personally, having looked through his portfolio i would have to say i much prefer his non-GW artwork.
sorry. hopefully after the DE stuff settles down, we'll start to hear more about the GK.
