So I'm considering a new army. Again. I find that I have much better luck sticking to an army if I can form a story around them. I'm a very 'Forge the Narrative' type, honestly. I have come up with a Grand Master for my chapter, as well as some minor details about them. I know the name of the Chapter, and some of the organizational facts, and strangely enough, I already have my BFG fleet built for them.

Now comes the tougher part; the 40k side of things. I've decided I wanted to incorporate pieces of Dark Angels with pieces of GK. Both have strong Terminators, so that will be the focus of the army, but not entirely; Ravenwing have such great movement options, while the GKs get, at least, some jump units, and lots of deep striking.

However, I'd like to get some other opinions/thoughts/suggestions on good ways to mix the two of these together. Either as Allies, or simply as 2 different armies with similar play styles, so I may swap back and forth as one large 'army'.

I would hold out buying any models for both sides until the new rulebook comes out in a couple of weeks, it would be a shame for you to buy an army only to have your plans and cash wasted

If Fluff is one of your driving factors behind a new army, take this in consideration: Dark Angels and Grey Knights would practically never (never ever) be used as battle brothers, as the DA would be too worried that the GK would catch a hint of their dark secret and relay that back to the emperor.

As a DA player (and read all the novels), there is no better fluff then that of the Inner Circle of the DA trying to hunt the fallen.

I've never been grabbed by GK, and all the comments about the FoC and allies is going to change on the 24th when we get 'Battle-Forged' and 'Unbound' army organization options.

I'm a fan of the Deathwing, Azrael needs to be in the Primary Detachment to unlock all the troops as per the Codex (which won't be changing as quickly, one would hope) so there's that.

There's also Tyberos from FW that unlocks Terminators as Troops, but again...not sure of how 7th will effect that.

Deathwing Terminators get the better deal because Grey Knight Terminators are, well, they're kind of bad (certainly within their Codex). Support-wise, I'd be tempted to say Grey Knights have it better, although Ravenwing are certainly nice. I'd go with Dark Angels, but you could do a lot worse than add some Inquisitorial support from Codex: Inquisition (thinking Inquisitor with some Skulls and Divination, Coteaz, and then a mix of Plasma Cannon Servitors and Warrior Acolytes). Grey Knights don't offer much outside of Paladins, who are not as good an anti-elite unit as Deathwing Knights.

Personally, I love the GK fluff, and the models are amazing...almost too good since there isn't much need to mod very many of them. But if/when I'm looking at bits to use to make some unique Knights then it's usually DA so I understand your dilemma.
