Alright, no more me posting in Darkmessiah's thread saying "oh ill get to it" from me.

I just um..."borrow" a sculpting tool (as i could not do those with my damn hands) and some brand new GS.

Question--i notice you put your GS in a small plastic container. Is this to keep it in tip top shape (i have no idea what else it would be for)

So, knowing your GS wisdom is good, i followed suit and took and empty dice container and put my GS in it.

Within the next 4 days, i promise to have a cloak/hood and loincloth done.

MARK MY WORDS.

*gets his red paint out and marks Anph's words*

the container is just a container, its a little bit of a pain coz the Gs sticks to it, but its basically their to keep it clean, it wont keep it fresh, ur better off lobbin some in the freezer and leaving a bit out. although i dont do this, but i may in the future

I also have quite a big lump of GS in the freezer, does indeed take quite
a bit of time for it to defrost. Mixed GS and even BS seem to work much
better, just rub it between your fingers for 2-3 minutes and 'voila' ready
to use as if you just mixed it. Great way to preserve at that mixed stuff
you mixed to much....always seems to happen to me

Hey, im so sorry. No pics.

This is because: i failed horribly on the loin cloth as i tried to do it on a fully built marine that had a base. Not smart. Ill try it again (like the 4th time) soon.

The cloak seems rather easier than the loincloth imo. I had to go buy more GS, though, i didnt have enough for a long cloak like that left over.

Gimme three more days. Please?

There's an alternative to green stuff. It's called Pro Create, it's a two parts resin like GS but it's gray, it's supposed to be easier to work and to smooth. I have just bought some, I'll tell you more when I have tried.
They advise 3 various ways of mixing depending on what kind of miniature you're working : purely biological shapes, mixed (normal) or mechanical shapes...

Rubbing alcohol smooths GS perfectly (yeah I tried it DM :D).
