if i use a glossy spray paint as a base coat for my plastic and metal models will it prevent the GW paints or inks from adhering onto the top of it for details?

And if it will cause adhesion problems, will sanding down the parts of the model im gonna paint before hand allow the paint to stick?

Yes to the first question in most cases, yes to the second as well with a big however: sanding it down will lead to uneven and scratched looking paint in the final run. I suggest you go with a new spray for basecoating and strip any models you have already put said basecoat on already.

what wraithlord said. there was a post i forget what site maybe in the bolter and chainsword forums about a clear basecoat. sorry not sure what site it was on.

is there a reason you want to use glossy paint?

and go for white or grey spray! unless you need a real colored spray ofc...
leaves much more options then black spray
