No fuck-offs flaming, the kids are educated, people are willing to actually help one another, and most (aside from the star wars thread/fuck :biggrin: ) threads stay on track and remain civil, though heated at times. Oh, and no porn bots. That's a *big* one in the forum world.

As for this elitist shit, ugh... Advanced Tau Tactica defines elitist, IMHO. It's a great Tau resource, sure, but some of the shit I've read there... yeah, you get the idea. This place is far too fucking informal (plus, I can say "fuck" here. I was in the army at one time, so yeah, I use "fuck" as a hyphen in most cases) to be elitist. :laugh:

I look at it this way - I could've joined B&C or Warseer, and got lost. They're still full of plenty of threads worth reading (esp. the Ultramarines bit on B&C), but I liked the look of this site most. So you're clearly doing something right. I'm more than happy to be contributing to the growth of a site like this, where I feel valued even though I'm nothing more than a poster-number and username.

And though this place isn't my 'home' forum(SWC is heh heh heh), I find myself logging on to a very friendly and helpful site every time I come here. That in itself says a lot about this forum. Too many times you find yourself on a forum where the most intelligent reply you can get about something is 'X did X to your mother' or 'lern 2 play noob' or 'that's stupid'. Here, you get friendly advice on a daily basis from several different people who do so in a very friendly manner. In my short time here, I've yet to see anything even remotely close to flamming(minus banter back and forth between folks lol). I think it really speaks of the quality of membership you have when someone new to the forum can feel welcome immediately after a post or two.

Keep up the good work and sod the idiots who say otherwise!

wow that was weird!... think im a little out of date for this. i couldnt sit and have a conversation like that for so long on MSN... especially the way it kept repeating and repeating!.

edit... lol googling "40k Forums" brings up heresy first.... then a host of other 40k forums.... then down the bottom is the actual 40k forums.

and with 13 users currently online.... 3 of which are bots.... 1 google bot, 1 google adsense bot and 1 yahoo bot.
