Thought some of you might enjoy this. Sorry the detail is bad, but I had to try to get the whole thing in one pic then. This was the '04 (I think) Seattle GT. Our gaming group decided to go big!! Bug big!! I was not in on this project but watched some of its progress. Basically 10 of them all built Tyranid armies. They then got together and mapped out 10 2X2 display boards and had each one build thier "section" decided on exact matching paints and such. Then they all got the army built and painted however they wished, and added things to the whole scene like one section had a Cadian bunker and other scenery bits. They planned it so that even the scenery added to the board would be consistent throughout and once put together like this, nothing at all would look out of place. As we are the Northwest Gaming Geeks (NWGG for short), they dubbed the whole project Hivefleet Geek It definatly was the eye catcher of the weekend and it spawned many other attempts by other gameclubs to do similar (I think the '05 Seattle GT had an all Drop Pod gaming club that did similar) but they were the first in this area anyway. Anyway here is a shot of all of the boards together, again sorry for the lack of clarity....
