I'm currently building a Tau army, and those damn Forge World models are calling my name. I've already got seven GW crisis suits (six Fireknives and one Helios/Fireknife, magnetized, using as Shas'el right now.) I'm thinking about getting a Shas'O R'Myr, three XV-89s, and two Tetras.

The GW price increase means I'm not paying *that* much more for FW suits. I think the '89s would make great team leaders, and given the chance I'd love to use Tetras in friendly games.

My questions are does anyone own these models? I'd like to see different angles/poses that you can do with them other than the ones posted on the FW website. And would anyone see a problem with using Tetras as Piranhas? I'm not sure exactly how much smaller they are, looking at pictures they look to be about the same length/height, just the piranhas seem to be much wider :(

The main body is the same, the legs are bendable at the knee, the arms have socket joints at the shoulder and have a joint (can't remember the name) that swivels horizontally and vertically at the elbow.

Can't be arsed to dig them out and take photos, but they are a hell of a lot more poseable.

More pose-able is all I really needed to hear, gonna order them today.

Thanks!

Not trying to hijack the thread here, but can anyone confirm wether the XV89 suit could be used as a Shas'O/El in place of the current commander kit? I'm not so keen on the GW model so I'd like to know if the Forge one is any good.

Oh, and would anyone object to me using a Forge World model in a friendly, non-Apoc game? It is kinda a proxy.
