A friend of mine has been talking about a game similar to 40k but based upon WWII called flames of war. does anybody here play it? is there a website dedicated to it? where can i get the rules/models etc? any info would be greatly appreciated.

I don't like flames of war because the models are so small that you can't paint or base them well at all.

I've been wanting to play for a long time. I even made the army on my site and then sold it when no one wanted to play a new game.

Now one of the local groups is picking it up full steam, and I can't wait to play my beloved Germans!

First thing is to buy about 3000 points of Tigers Time to smash some heretics!

It is a smaller scale, for larger battles.

I have a US paratroopers company and a DAK tank kompanie.

Yes me and a friend are startin this! but he got a head start and already has like a battalion of US and i have a tiger but i have the rule book and im going to start gettin some armored troop units!
