I just wanted to post this to see what people think, I'll say from the start that theres a fair bit of red bleeding through the black because i switched which banner I was going to paint in the middle so i'll be touching that up, but for my first attempt, never having freehanded before I think it came out pretty damn good

When it comes to skaven, I wouldn't expect clean lines like a Knight would carry.

i too collect skaven and i know what a bitch it is to try and paint on those banners, especially trying to copy skaven runes

I do have a suggestion though, have you considered using a soft pencil to gently sketch out your design 1st & then painting over the top??

I did think about that, I looked at some videos first online to see what people said and a few mentioned penciling first, but I just didn't for whatever reason, I just went for it
