I have been invited to play with some friends in a tournament practice. I have never played before but have watched several games. This if my first go at a simple army list that will at least be decent to field in 650 pnt games.

Tervigon [Adrenal glands and toxin sacs] - 180pts

2x Hive guards - 100pts

30 - termagnat [spike rifle] - 180pts

Reserve - Outflanking
9 genestealers [scything talons] + broodlord -190pts

Looks like a pretty solid list. My only suggestions would be to split the hive guard into two squads of 1 for more flexibility, take two squads of 15 termagants, drop the spike rifle.

And I have always felt scything talons were too expensive on stealers. You should give them toxin sacs instead for more rerolls to wound. I also don't think outflanking is the way to go in 6th with them anymore since they have to sit there for a round. Infiltrating into good cover would be more beneficial. In which case I suggest 7 and a broodlord.
