Hey guys,
would appreciate some feedback as I'm trying to figure out a decent list with the models I've got.

HQ - 221 Points
Archon (Infantry; Fleet; Independent Character; Agoniser; Close Combat Weapon; Combat Drug Dispenser; Shadow Field)
Grotesques x 6 (Feel No Pain*; Stupid; Terrifying Opponent)

A few things don't give you Wych Succubus a combat drug dispenser or gruesome talisman - the cdrugs are a waste on a one wound model such as a fragile succubus and the gtalisman don't work this additon of the rules due to combat rules changes.

Sybarites work best with either just an agoniser or poison blades (I prefer poison blades - cheaper).

Dark Lances in moving raider squads are a big FAAT NO, unless your running them 5 men with a DL and using the raider to get a free raider then it's better to take a splinter cannon and blaster combo


The set out I use and most competetive and non competetive raider set-ups are as follows

Raider Squad-
10 Warriors, 1 Splinter Cannon, 1 Blaster, Sybarite Upgrade with Poison Blades
Raider
Total :161pts (you can chnage this between 8-10 and still be effective

OR

Raider Squad
5 Warriors, 1 Dark Lance
Total: 105pts

Lastly your ravager needs one job and not 4 Give it all DL's or all Disintegrators

Not dark lances, disintegrators and a horrorfex - big point sink (also your points on it are wrong too)

Horrorfexes only work in mass spam and even then can be rare to affect high LD units and need trophy racks on the vehicles to work alongside of them


These changes should give you allownace for a 2nd Ravager and more warriors

This may seem like a bashing of the list but your units have been equipped for 5 jobs and not 1 like they should be, please also point check your units as some are wrong and you may be paying more than needed

Also where abouts in Sydney are you from do you both play at Parramatta or something?

Thnaks Blue Liger I would rather get a list bashing and get some stuff right then not know where I'm going wrong.
In regards to the points I must of added wrong, my bad.

I'm based out near Penrith, and sometimes venture into Parramatta for a game or to watch/learn.

I'm based in West Ryde, my FLGS is in Hornsby and I've been to the Parramatta one a few times, though I usually game at Hornsby as it's closer by train

Your Hq will rarley win fights because grotesques are soeasy to kill in close combat. If a archon isnt in close combat i dont know what hes doing.

Scourges cost way more than a ravager and perform worse. They are a waste and a points sink. Save the points get a ravager over them. your paying 35+ points for a warrior with a big weapon and jump pack...not to mention he cant move and shoot that big weapon.

Ok so I'm thinking change out the grotesques for incubi????
Good plan, I dont know about where you are but here in the UK Space Marines are the most common army (heck even I do them), and you will need anti power armour in there somewhere

Incubi are a nice addition.....grotesques are silly if you ask me.

your bikes need blasters. They are anti tank really...they are your sucuide squad.

Not a fan of the close ranged weapon foot slogging warior squad. I dont see them as a threat....ever and can easly be delt with by most armies. drop the cannons and add 2 dark lances.

For your wych retinue give the succubus a agonizer. It just adds to that squads killing potential.....you will basicly have 2 powered weapons burried in that squad. One hitting at I7 and one at I6 and niether can be picked out.

The way it goes is this. Warriors get poision blades...Wyches and HQs(depending) get agonizers. If your going an HQ ona bike then give him a punisher/tormentor helm.

K, here is what I'm thinking:

Scourges, if you want em, 4x s-cannons and get em running all about harassing units early in game, but keep em in cover if you can, very fun against guard!

Foot sloggers, possibly split em into 2 groups, and give them dark lamces, good for having a covered firebase as your army moves up, or holding home objectives. The enemy will ignore them as they aren't seen as a big threat as all your other angry/horny/disturbingly fast units race across the board.

Also, you've only got 3 scoring units that just so happen to wear latex and fly around in a tissue box, you're not worried that it's likely they won't survive long?

Also, if your archon is going to walk around, HE WILL DIE! he needs a ride! Have you considered getting 2 dracons/drachites/one of each instead, 2 will do the job of one, but with more mobility and just as cheap??

Deep striking suicide raiders are fun, if u land em in front of shooty units to block them out, you could buy the rest of your army 1 or 2 turns of sanctuary, just another thing to think about...

so you're based in penrith aye? do you go to the tin soldier?? if so, hopefully i'll see you round in the school holidays!
