Pic has come out dark i'm stuck as to how to paint the flamer. Also undecided as to blue or purple gems. Any ideas?

Paint the flamer with flames. It would look sweet. I'd say Bright Cobalt blue gems.

or a nice crisp green (camo-scorp).

Really like it, infact it been dark makes it look very cool.

One day i'll get round to doing an Aspect army just for the sake of painting stunning models like that.

It's better yes, but now you have a shadow. It's better to set your shutter speed to 1.3 and leave the flash off. See this article for details.

Now that is SWEET. The armor is done so damn well and so are the gem. The loin cloth-like thing is superb as well.

lol, if you do more at a later date try hawk turquoise, just add black to darken white to lighten, gives a unusual precious gem look
