This was my first Tau Fire Warrior.

Didn't want to do a "typical" desert-style color scheme, kind of bored by the browns (and green is my favorite color, anyway).

So, yeah, here's a couple different views.

Nice stuff mate - very well done highlighting. Looking forward to seeing more of them and some battlesuits

did you highlight the helm or is the light just falling per chance on his helmet?
I only did edging with a lighter green on the helmet, so I'd have to say it's most likely a lighting effect.

Very nice colourscheme, the highlights in particular make it a striking colourcombo. On larger things (vehicles and maybe even battlesuits) it might a a good idea to add some segments of another colour?

My Shas'o Battlesuit (posted in the Tau Gallery) has some panels in Bleached Bone, and a few in the darker green I used, actually!

Thanks for the comments!

NICE!

Once I figure out how to:
Post photos on Heresy
Do some decent conversion
I'll make a model of O'Vaxus from my story series (see my sig), paint and post.
Which means one hell of a lot of conversion... Pulse sabres... Cyclic Ion Carbines... Decorated Armour and weapons... I hate my imagination.

Somewhere in an hour's range.

Seriously???? Dude, that is impressive for an hours work. I don't think a first mini of mine has EVER taken less than a week at least.

Thanks! Yeah, I really just sort of smashed my way through it, not really trying to get it perfect... although, it is pretty much my standard of work. It's also why I tend to prefer really simple, limited pallettes in my armies. Makes them come out faster....

Hey now, very nice paint work you have there.
Thanks!

Thanks everybody for the praise, it's very motivational... *eyes the dwarfs I haven't touched in a couple weeks* ... most of the time.
