With four successful Kickstarters under our belt and customers clamouring for more, it’s time for us to expand the team again!

ROLE: STUDIO PAINTER & HOBBY SPECIALIST

The Company

Mantic Games is a wargaming miniatures company based in Nottingham, UK. It launched its first range of premium niche products in 2009 and has built on this ever since to create a fun, innovative brand that is recognised worldwide.
The Role

This is a rare opportunity to join Mantic’s world-class team. This brand-new role calls for a painter and hobby specialist to join us on a permanent, full-time basis, located at the Mantic offices in Nottingham. You will be painting our newest and coolest models and creating evocative scenery. The successful applicant will be a creative, dynamic, innovative and fun person who can demonstrate a talent for painting and converting miniatures and building wargaming terrain.
Responsibilities


  • Paint 28-30mm scale miniatures to a variety of standards, from mass army painting to high level display work.
  • Work to set briefs and match specified styles and standards.
  • Create and deliver scenery pieces and displays to complement wargaming tables at shows and tournaments as well as for photography purposes.
  • Attend briefings and plan own time for painting and scenery projects.
  • Be flexible in taking on alternative projects linked to the core role.
Knowledge & Skills


  • Experience in the table-top gaming industry.
  • Ability to deliver a range of painting styles and standards.
  • Be flexible to take into consideration the existing creative direction and be open to feedback.
  • Some experience of photography is useful.
  • Confidence in presenting ideas.
  • Ability to balance work on multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines.
  • Good team-working skills.
