I am sorry if this has been brought up before but I am just getting back in after a year and also my main rulebook is back at my house, so all I have to refrence is the books I have ordered since I have been here.

Question 1: In the Artifacts/Relics section are all the items 0-1 or can you only have one of the items on that list in your army list.

Question 2: I am sorry but I do not have the book with me (at work) but the ability that allows you to take bikes as an elite choice in addition to allow you to take more then 5 bikes in a squad since the rule says that you must have a minimum of 5 models in your army.

Question 3: I have seen some models and reference to Apocs and Standard Bearers on bikes but I can not find any reference to being able to do that in the stadand rule book, can someone enlighten me.

Please do not refernse to the GW website because I can not access it, cutting and pasting or messaging me with the details if because of copyright would be great. Thank you for your help!

1. You can have a total of one relic/artifact from the entire list.
2. I'm not sure what your question is. Can you restate it?
3. Apothecaries and Standard Bearers cannot be mounted on bikes...easily. Only Dark Angels Ravenwing can do that, and Master Sammael has to be included in the army for it to be an option. You can put Apothecaries and Standard Bearers on bikes by giving the ENTIRE COMMAND SQUAD Terminator Honours. Then, the Veteran Sergeant, Apothecary, Standard Bearer, and Company Champion have access to the armoury, from which they can buy a bike. The problem with that is that the minimum squad size is five, and the lone trooper with Terminator Honours does NOT gain access to the armoury, so he can't select a bike. Best you can do is four out of five for the command squad.

The thing about bikes - there is a trait, called "Be Swift as the Wind", that allows you to take bike squads as a troop choice, and states that if taken as a troop choice units must be 'at least 5 models strong'.

You must have 5+ models in the unit; this must mean 4 bikes +1 attack bike, 5 bikes +1 attack bike, or 5 bikes, as there is a limit of 3-5 bikes per unit, to which 1 attack bike can be added.

Does that help?

That is exactly what i was looking for but not the answer I wanted to hear, though I figured that is what it was. Sorry for not calling it a trait earlier but I had forgotten :).

My bike and jump pack army seems to be skidding to somewhat of a halt currently. Other then Dark Angels or Blood Angels is there a way to get either a command squad in jump packs or on bikes, I know the answer has been given on the bike deal and I am pretty sure it applies the same way to the jump packs.

Thanks for the help.

Well, here's the answer you don't want...

No, there's no way to mount a Codex SM command squad on bikes or give them jump-packs.

You can do it for most of them I think - sergeant, banner bearer, apothecary, company champion, by giving them terminator honours and unlocking the wargear section for them - but there'll always be one who can't have access to wargear.

Sorry.
