Needs to be a 4th option: Painting. But as there isn't, gaming it is for me. :)

It's always been all about modeling for me. Mostly because where I live, I didn't find anyone who played. But now, a bunch of my friends are starting 40K, and they're not starting SM either (nids and crons) which makes it even more fun, so gaming is definitely moving up the ranks.

Gaming, but lately, as everywhere has closed down, its been about the modelling.

I have always been a huge reader so when i learned of 40k Novels i soaked themup too.

Models, gaming has become the most tedious thing ever and sucks, and fluff changes too much to keep up with, so the models is all thats left, even if they are overpriced bits of tin

oh it does get tedious, especially since all I ever fight is ass marine after ass marine lists *YAWN*, I wonder what would happen if just once someone could collect something OTHER than an army with a 3+ save.

All about the background. There are plenty of games with nice models, there are plenty of games with competent rules sets, but the background of 40K is miles above and beyond any other game I've played or seen (except Crimson Skies :))

what army do you collect?
my MAIN force is an armoured company, and I'm going to start another (oh god not again) guard force.

My DA force is a SECONDARY army, and only gets used if someone refuses to fight against tanks, which because of the number of cowards in 40k, is a common thing to happen.

and there are too many people who don't like fighting guard (at least around my area) because they claim they are cheesy, so again I need the DA for back-up.

but there mainly done due to nostalgia, they were my first ever army, and its only fair I do them again.

but the most common forces around here are:
Marines
Chaos
Necrons
daemonhunters.

all basically the same

I quite like modelling, as in constructing the guys, but I recently realised I have completely and utterly forgotten how to paint in the year it took to get the single pot of Bleached Bone I needed to start.

I also enjoy strategising, making overly elaborate plans for my forces against as many possible situations as I can, though I rarely get the chance to put them into action.

Everyone here knows I'm a fluff nazi.
