All players have favourites and for many different reasons. I cant remember all the Chapter Masters names for both Chaos and Loyalist as well as all the other armies characters.


Who is yours and why?

1: The Character MUST have had rules produced by GW at some point.

2: Please be nice! This is about FAVORITES not who is BEST. This is suppose to be funk:

Logan Grimnar: One of the greater and beloved commanders in imperial history, has dueled primarchs and lived, or so I hear, and kick such extreme ass he craps lightning and farts thunder. I love everything about this guy.

Lord Solar Macharius
Conquered 1000 worlds in 7 years, a feat of strategy & leadership unmatched by any save the Holy Emperor and his Primarchs during the Great Crusade.

I don't think I could pin down a single favorite character but I'll throw out the ones that vie for that spot.

Cypher - I'm very into enigmatic characters and Cypher embodies that aspect. Is he a traitor? Is he looking for redemption by carrying the lion's sword? Also he simply looks like a badass with the duel pistols and the classic dark angels robes.

Eldrad - I love how Eldrad in particular just appears throughout the fluff in pivotal moments in 40k history. A very cool character and perhaps the best support character in the game.

Bjorn - How many other characters can claim to be around since the Russ led his great company? Bjorn is also amongst the very rare special characters who aren't just a single infantry model (the only ones that come to mind are the speeder guy from the DA and Vect of the DE). I love how invulnerable he is, the added ability to help me go first and a plasma cannon that rarely scatters.

I have to agree Khaan the betrayer is by far my favorite character. A true embodiment of Chaos and Khorne. They really do need to bring out another model for him standing on a big pile of skulls ..... now there is an idea for a mini.

Angron, Demon Prince Primarch of the WorldEaters.

#1 I love showing up with his 8 blood thirsters.
#2 It's the only playable Primarch with REAL rules. (AFAIK)

Salamanders Chaplain Xavier - when he was around that is. He's by far my favourite character of all time from the Space Marines. Plus GW did a very nice model for him (which I still have somewhere...).

Pedro Kantor, depsite his Spanish/Mexican origins, this guy had his noble Chapter nearly wiped from the face of history, but brought them back from the brink and continues to write history in their name. A definate plus to his name. He's a battler :good:

I would have to say kayvaan shrike. Most other captains have tails of how they just pwn xenos and traitors but shrike actually fights to protect people, while pwning xenos and traitors.

I've always been a fan of Yriel, once in a game he managed to kill a FW trygon in one go 5 hits, 5 wounds, 5 failed inv. saves one really annoyed bug player

 

[Warlock in Training]

Huron Blackheart. Hes not Badass, cost too much in Pts, and has nothing superspecial in his rules or stats. But I love the mini, and I love my Red Corsairs. They need to write a Badab War. However I do love rerolling my PF hits/wounds, combine with the reroll wounds of a Flamers usaully = dead SM Tac Squad.

 

[Marneus Calgar]

I don't think I need to say much...

Marneus Calgar, mainly because he has really awesome weaponry, I just think the model is really cool too.

commissar yarrick is pretty rock like. Any 'umie that the orks think can fight has got to be a legend!!!!

Edit: In second place I'd have to say "Aaa", even though he's Chaos filth (read the Eisenhorn Omnibus to see what he did). His name in Low Gothic, though, is awesome: "Sword-Cuts-Meat-For-Woman-Prizes".

I'd have to say Dante, I'm pretty sure he's one of the oldest living Loyalist Marines, if not the oldest and its not because he has sat back and not fought, he's just that epic!! Also he has to deal with the division in his chapter, the beliefs of the chaplains vs priests and he also has to deal with his chapter slowly dying because of the red thirst getting worse.

Kharn is (as said before) the embodiment of khorne's attitude. Very cool and one of the boys from the start. Over 10000years and he is still kicking everyone's ass.

As for others, Bjorn, one of the longest serving original characters good to see him get some rules even though prospero burns made me dislike the wolves a bit Bjorn the fell handed is still a legend. I have one of the original metal Bjorn models and it is one of my most prized models.

Old one eye Yarrick. He's like John Patrick Mason from 'The Rock'. He might be an old guy but that doesn't slow him up. A leader of men who leads from the front. Dead ard rules too. Anyone that orks fear has some serious Mojo.
