Hi guys,

I've searched the net, the CSM FAQ and the BRB and can't find anything on units falling from terrain eg. buildings.
Could a unit be lashed off a rooftop, and if so, would they take damage? A dangerous terrain test regardless of height? There would be cases where you might want a unit to walk off the edge voluntarily too, could this be done and what would the damage be?
Apologies in advance if it is somewhere in the BRB and I'm just blind!

No, Warhammer 40k, in its current edition does not allow falling. You can only lash people down levels, not off buildings.

If you wish to play that you can I recommend you download the Necromunda living rulebook for appropriate rules.
Last I checked it was an auto hit at strength equal to the distance in inches that the model fell, with only armor saves allowed. (No invuls). It may have changed since then.

There are no falling rules, and no way to cause a model to fall out of terrain in the book.

Movement caused by lash of submission or pavane of Slaanesh must be a legal move for the unit. Because there are no rules for jumping out of a ruin, there's no way to make a unit jump to its injury or death, and the unit has to take the stairs down like everyone else.

(In simultaneous chorus and agreement with SHarrington).

Thanks for the quick reply guys, case closed. Lash is powerful enough without applying necromunda rules so I'll spare my opponent that I think. They'll just have to rave and grind on each other down the stairs then, with my DP waiting at the door.

Cheers
