Ok some of you will know, but i execpt most will not, that there is a European Team Tournament been organised as we speak.
The UK is currently sending 1 team (there may/may not be more if the UK "splits into team scotland, wales etc) of 8 to poland in August for 3 days of 0k madness. Countries from around europe are sending thie best, and i mean the best (i know the german team is been capt by Simon Oerding aka Kaiser Cheese. This guy is probably the best player in the world!).
One of my Flame On mates (anathema) is the UK organiser and Capt (which means he automatically gets a place on the team btw). He is looking to have a qaulifing event organised in the not so distant future to allow hopefuls to compete to win a place on the team that flys out to Poland to represent to UK.
To say it wil be one of the best and most prestigious things you can do as a wargamer probably goes without saying (but i said it anyway :lol: ).
The basic set up will be 6/7 games of 40k played at a slightly altered Gamma level, at 1850pts an army using all the current codex armies and a few CA ones (like kroot mercs i believe).
The criteria to been able to go (so basically been able to go to the qualifiers) is:
FULLY painted, modeled and bases 40k army at 1850pts.
The money and the commitment to be able to pay your own way over to poland - thats gonna ge about £200 or so i recon. Maybe more.
You must be 18 years or older - sorry young uns can't come due to the involved responsibility no-one is prepared to take on.
You must want to have a good time, lots of fun and represent the UK in the best possbile manner.
You also must be able to drink and be prepared to do silly things and maybe even wear a ridiculous team uniform.... TBA.
For those who are interested let me no here or via PM. When i get hold of a rules pack for the ETT and the qualifier i will let you all know.
