So I'm going to be in a special game where each person has a model to escort from one end to the other from the other people and what I can only assume will be obstructions. So I have a question about what you all think is the best way to achieve this goal. The model will most likely be a jet packer of some sort so can travel up to the 12in max of any jump infantry, but can't be put into a transport.
So how would Nids best accieve this? Using shrikes and a Flyrant and maybe a Harpy? Or would you surround it with big bugs like Fexs and full outfited tyrant? Move as fast as possible or slow and steady?

How many points do you have to play with would be my first question? It would be a different build at each point value.

I don't know the final point value yet. All I know is its an escort and each player will have to walk/jump their important piece to an objective point on a different table. So will have to get to the warp gate, probably be three so there will be like 12 people going for 3 points then ending up on another table with all the rest that make it. So knowing that would you go more heavy or faster? Or more numbers? I don't know how to come at this problem when I finally do get the point value.

given that this is going to involve silly amounts of movement, go with fast. take gargoyles, shrikes. consider something odd like lictors/ymgarls -> jump out of area terrain, assassinate the opponents protected model, then die most likely :D

Even if it turns out the guy is slow (6" move), then still go fast, but hunt down actively anything that might shoot at him. It'll make for a much more fun game all round.
