I despise the metal models, I hate them, I hates them, they burns us precious. because of this fact, I have begun making my very own custom veterans

he doesn't have to throw it, but he can if he wants, are you gonna tell him not to, I''m certainly not.

I'm gonna chain it to his wrist so if he does throw it he can get it back.

Well its pose is kinda saying "Im gonna shoot ya in the face with my pistol. If that doesn't work, ill just throw this point stick thing atcha"

I really like the freehand templar cross now that I took a second look

Great model, and id love to see more, i know exactly what you mean about the metal veteran models, i've played around with my metal models a bit just to make them a little different.

I like the idea of the spear/ pole weapon, It looks good i would have placed it lower or have it placed one end on the ground but thats just me. Its a great idea and looks really in theme with the templars. I also really like the cross on his chest very nice.

Keep up the good work and im looking forward to seeing more.:eek:k:

Nice work, conversion is cool. I would seriously suggest some highlights with dark to light greys on the black armour however.

actually, the model is highlighted quite extremely with severe drybrushing of a mix of chaos black and astronomicon grey.

the photo loses all that, I still havn't figured out how to photo models well.

oh thanks.

I never use a flash, I always use external lighting, I think the problem is that in my small apartment I never really have a good place to take photos. I don't have a room that has a lot of light.

It looks like external bounced flash is best as you don't get many intense specular highlights and the ambient occlusion still functions and provides a profound influence on the model.
