I've got this Empire army that has a particular story line behind it. It involves a Friar, an Abbey, and a generous helping of booze. It also involves a couple misguided Ogres, but I'll not go much further into that. Suffice it to say, that my WiP Beer Altar is close to completion and ready for paint...

Hmmm, I though they did already.... hehe. I'll have to see. I'd love to give a little rouge to their cheeks and snozzes and bloodshot eyes, though the eyes would probably prove too difficult to pull off. As soon as I can find my other stash of plasticard tubing, I'll be making little beer steins and cups for most of the troops...

I'm unfamiliar with the effect of the War-Alter which I really should remedy considering I have a 1500 point Empire Army from 6th edition. But thats beside the point.

If it does what I think it does then that looks awesome. Even if it doesn't do what I think it does it still looks awesome. Where did you get the 'Friar' mini from he doesn't look like any GW model I've seen.

Can't wait to see it painted.

This is grain, which any fool can eat, but for which the Lord intended a higher purpose. Let us give praise to our Lord, and thanks for His bounty, by learning about BEER.

The Friar is actually a crewman for the older Helblaster Volley Gun.

Wraithlord, I'm gonna have to scribe that somewhere on the Altar!
