So far all I have painted is the Generals Horse, and that took about 18hrs to do lol, so its a start lol

I want an opinion here, should I

1: Do commanders armour black
2: Silver
3: Gold

what do you people think?

Gold I should think. Regular dudes will be in plate but a commander/general type character will have extremely expensive and decorative armour on which sets him apart from the rest.

As for the horse itself, it looks awesome but I do have a recommendation. Add one more highlight to the Yellow cloth with a small amount of white added, just to the very highest rises in the cloth as it will really make the colour pop. Same with the grey on the horse. One more, very slightly, brighter highlight would be perfect. Also, I would make the hair on the mane and the fetlocks a slightly different colour from the rest, maybe a tad darker? Not much, just a bit to set it apart a bit more. Other than that, very nice work.

Never mind about armour colors, I already did it lol, waiting was waaaaaaay too slow lol, but batteries are dead in cam (guess there is a downside to 10.1 mega pixels lol) so basically the model is finished, and when it comes to the knights I will take tips in consideration.

I love it...except for teh horses legs. They need more definition. The front legs also need to have the flash (mold lines) scraped off.

Nah it would mean re-painting, its only gaming quality, its not gonna be on display so nobody will really care.

Pretty nice, i'd say. But I too would have liked to see him in gold plate.

It would accent the gold parts on the horse well. Also: perhaps paint the little bolts holding the plates together on the horses neck and the commander armour etc. And maybe something with the cloak?

Only thing I dislike: The yellow shield seems overdone when compared to the rest of the model. To showy.

But good overall. Keep'em comming!

I was thinking gold, but after some thought, it reminds me of Blood angels yuk gold armour lol.

and I was thinking of Quartering the shield with some blue as well, since it is Nordlands colors, whaddya think?
