And so here is my army thus far:

This will be a thread showing my progress with the army.


The Big Purchase for Perfection:
Roughly 2.5-3k points.

-All marines have Emperor Children Shoulder Pads
-1x Daemon Prince (not shown)
-1 Custom Daemon Prince(has been painted alittle,will send a pic if requested) -1 Custom Lord/Lt.
-5 Champions w/Icons,SonicBlasters,4 PowerWeapons,and1 Powerfist
-25 EC Marines(19 SonicBlasters,6Blastmasters)
-OOP 2x Blastmasters 2x Sonic Blasters

-16 Damonettes(2 unbuilt & not shown)
-12 Mounted Daemonettes
-1 Forgeworld EC Dreadnought(Lascannon,Plasmacannon,&MissleLauncher)(has been assembled,arms & head NOT glued on!)
-1 Forgewold EC Drednought (Power claw and heavy bolter)

-6x Sonic EC Bikes

the deamon prince looks a bit odd with a naked upper body and an armoured lower body.

I think the Ba Lakor conversion does have potential but you might want to try bulking him up with some form of armour to his shoulders and chest to bring him up to scale with the lower half of the model.
Looking forward to see how It all turns out.....

Looks like that will turn out to be a seriously powerful army. I really like the 'Bela'kor' daemon prince, really has that decadent, perverted look.

Any ideas yet for the colourscheme, our are you going with the traditional Emperor's Children scheme?

I have to agree about the DP, great idea, just the bare upper body looks a bit awkward maybe try some shoulder armor or some shoulder with just an upper chest plate kinda like the vision of slaanesh on the chaos codex, it looks less awkward and it still gets the point you want bye

The shoulder armour from the 40K prince might just do the trick. If not, perhaps the shoulderpads from that Inquisitor range marine?

You could try adding a cloak to the mini as well as the shoulder pads. That way the back is covered as well. Am really looking forward to seeing the Dread painted up, should look fantastic.

The army looks quite dangerous, you have got this army ready just in time for the new Purple foundation paint from GW. Luckily we have some superb slaneeshi painters here just ask Vash or Wraithlord for help with the purpley bits.

I also like the idea of using Be'Lakor, but I think the legs are too big. You might use smaller legs like those of an Obliterator with this body...
