I came up with the following list which I'm planning to use for the next GT. I'm trying to build up a cheesy Eldar list but with the new dex couldn't make it possible. Tear it apart and give me your comments pls

Unfortunately, harlequins cant take a waveserpent transport, but you could swap them and the firedragons around and have them in the falcon instead. Does the Shadowseer have all the upgrades? If possible i think it would be good to get at least 1 4 man unit of jetbikes into the list for last minute table grabbing. Many of the gt games will come down to the objectives, and have a unit of jetbikes means they can hide for the whole game if need be, and then turbo boost to gain or contend an objective.

I think with the changes jigplums suggested the list would be quite solid, but probably doesn't fit in the critera of cheesey eldar, at least not compared to the last codex and the things that could be done with the Force Organisation Chart. I think "maybe" the rangers should be dropped as they are the only thing that doesn't fit the fast feel of the list. Looking at what u could get b4 there were people with 3 falcons and 4/5 serpents +bike farseers. In one way this list is better because the things in the serpents are better, but one hit that immobilises or destroys will have a much bigger affect and the list is that bit easier to isolate. also i think it could stuggle with hoardy lists as all they need to do is rock the avengers serpent and prisms to really narrow your options.

Its looking ok, similar to a list i run. Obviously the harlie serpent needs sorting. One thing is are harlequins even needed in this list? They dont fight like the rest of the army and as such "should" be easier for the opp to sort out. If that falcon flew towards my lines i know i'd be pumping shots into it to make sure there not assaulting me next turn. Maybe thats a good thing though.

If you want cheese eldar i still think the guardian gunline has its place. The squads are cheaper now allowing u to field roughly 10 guys for the 7 you had before. Backed up by a pair of Anti-armour wraithlords and some warwalkers, its still ALOT of fire the army can pump out. If so an avatar is worth considering to make the gunline fearless and maybe 2 units of pathfinders to replace the old role of the starcannons. then 4 units of guardians with scatterlaser[the multipurpose eldar weapon]

Thing is the pathfinders work very well with doom, and also doom is useful for that bladestorm when it comes. Thing is you usually find very little worth shooting a storm at in alot of gt armies, as they focus on having as many scoring units and targets as possible. so for your avenger squad your tau opp will have 3 units of 6 firewarriors.

First of I made a mistake and the Dragons need to be swapped with the Harlies. The suggestion u made Jig makes sense cause a unit of Jetbikes is very useful. Pathfinders are great especially if they get a 2+ inv save, infiltate and use them to grab objectives etc !

and made It illegal with mounted Harlies? :roll:
Rather than copying other peoples lists I'd suggest you playtest something you enjoy playing, painting and suits your playing style rather then trying to take an untested netlist. Playing at the GT Isn't about list making It's all about the tactics and what suits.

previous year michael brown finished 9th with chaos, but played tyranids in 2005/6
