Heyy so I was thinking of grabbing some Eldar today but I had no clue what to get and I was wondering if anyone here would be so kind enough as to give me some tips? I would generally prefer a more foot-slogging list if that's okay:victory:

Many thanks!

Okay so here's what I have come up with for 1000pts. =

1. Farseer
w/ spirit stones, singing spear, runes of witenessing, fortune and doom - 143pts.

2. 10 Dire Avengers
w/ Exarch, dire sword and shuriken pistol and defend - 157pts.

3. 10 Dire Avengers
w/ Exarch, dire sword and shuriken pistol and defend - 157pts.

4.10 Striking Scorpions
w/ Exarch, scorpion's claw, biting blade, stalker and shadowstrike - 218pts.

5. D-Cannon support squad
w/ 3 D-cannons - 150pts.

6. D-cannon support squad
w/ 3 D-cannons - 150pts.

ideass?

If your going for a foot slogging list then theres not much to change, only advice i can give you would be to change the Da exarch weaponry, give him an additional Shuri catapult to and blade storm to ensure they get the shots off to kill the enemy troops, this is their strength, they are not good in combat. Also the bitting blade on the SS exarch is a 2handed weapon which means you cant also use the scorpion claw, there will be no point anyway as the bitting blade is better. You will get to strike first, unlike a claw, where you strike last.

I use chainsabres. They are easy to model. I know they are strength 3 but rerolling hits and wounds is nothing to sniff at. Especially with 5 attacks on the charge.

Other things. D-cannons can cause damage but they are so easy to destroy. All hits hit 2 guardians that are all that is protecting a 50 point investment. The fact they are rather shortranged is just more incentive to avoid them.

Direswords are rubbish. I would either choose twin catapults if being offensive or power weapon/shimmershield to be defensive. I held up a dreadnought for 4 turns due to good shimmershield rolls.
