Hey Heretics, I have been strongly considering an EC army as of late but one of my biggest decisions will be what color to paint them. I could go with the soft purple as shown in the army of this battle report

OR I could do the hot pink and black scheme as shown on the GW website

Ill admit that Purple looks a little to blue, but the Pink is so "I like little boys", I painted my EC Warlock Purple or a mix of Bleach Bone with Warlock Purple for a inbetween color.

You could do the GW pink with black trim, but instead of black use dark purple. Best of both.

besides its not a girly pink, its just the odd limb/shoulder

When I started 40k, I used black, with a purple trim. This color scheme looks great, especially combined with some gold details.

Go for the Pink. This isn't Pre-Heresy, so paint them right! If the pink revolts you, use it as the trim instead of the base color.

This is actually a pretty good idea, I'd be interested in how it'd turn out.

If you have any spare models, try it on them. I think you will like the outcome. It isn't too much pink, but enough to set them apart.

On a side note, did they discontinue Tentacle Pink?

actually if your using GW paints your better off doing purple anyway....why?, simple, GW don't do a pink paint.

Paint them bright bloody pink. Pink is the colour of awesome.

I have no problem with painting my models gaudy colors (duh, Im playing Slaanesh), but would you just go balls out super pink or try to keep the model mostly black? Also, do you know a place where I could find a good collection of EC army lists? There dont seem to be that many out there

If you have no issue with the color, then go balls-to-the-wall super pink. The pink and black itself has to be one of best color schemes out there. It is different, and such a break from the *****-dark or overly light paint schemes. It has a medium.

In otherwords, go all out. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO.

yea buddy go pink its what ive chose for my army and it grows on you when i first did it, i was a little hessitant simply because its frekin pink but when i got it painted i just loved the scheme the alternating pink armor looks cool like the noise marine models on GW website. i like how it alternates or even stays on one side. but yea go pink. ill post my list from my battle report its a good list and i havent been beat with it yet.

alright theres the battle report, but the 2 chosen squads id pull and modify thats what i did i take a squad of chosen 5 man with 5 plasmaguns on foot behind my rhinos at the back of the board just incase someone drops a squad of terminators next to me. maybe even drop the plasma guns and take meltas just in case they drop dreads in.

oh and to get pink you can either get the squid pink from Vallejo or what i did is get a skull white paint in the pot, then take a tad bit of blood red dont have a ratio just add a little bit mix it around real good and if its to white still add a tad bit more blood red. this is very important dont add to much blood red, you can always add more but you cant take away, so if you mess up with too much red its fine you can use it at a base coat but you will have to get another skull white to make another pink lighter blend. i know from experience, i added to much red on a pot. good luck man.
