THIS IS NOT A POST TO START A RANT OR ANYTHING, just to bring attention and action.

The fact is -

Ebay is going to raise prices again to a too high point. Its getting annoying.

On eBay - we see the gradual decline of WARHAMMER 40k Products and other products. I remember back in 2000, I saw over 2000 auctions for eldar, and many other auctions for other armies. This is coming down to a really low amount because no one wants to buy from ebay.

Outraged eBay sellers plot strike week - Feb. 7, 2008

I plan to be a part of it and will not use ebay for the time.

You should too!

Should spread the word!

I find it ridiculous that its kicking up to 8% Final ending fees. Paypal fees were already enough too.

I've posted this around, and hopefully people will take action to do so.

Really, if you don't like the prices, don't buy off of Ebay. I find the whole Ebay situation to be a bit too annoying for me, personally. I have yet to use the site, and I doubt I'll be in any mood to do so in the future.

In my opinion, Ebay provides a service that is easily replaced by simply networking with other gamers. Networking works, just ask Djinn and me. I asked, he spoke up (as did a few others on other sites) and I got just what I was looking for and Djinn is very happy with his end as well. Other than shipping costs and the models themselves, it costs neither of us a penny more.

I guess I've been boycotting Ebay since the beginning...

Still, I don't think a 'negative action day' is really needed or worth advertising. Just don't use the service.

I'm not a big fan of Ebay raising prices and since the announcement I have not bought or sold anything. The listing on ebay flucuate with what army is popular. You punch in space marines and you get thousands of hits. Type in Necrons you get about 84 listings so it depends. The part I have found interesting is that people were bidding on things that were higher or almost equal to GW prices. Several Internet stores and some local hobby stores offer 20% GW stuff and offere free or reduced shipping so it doesn't make sense to buy from ebay anymore.

Hesp, the issue is with ebay raising its fees to sellers, not with things costing more for buyers (though, naturally an increase in the cost of doing business means increasing price to the consumer). The "if you don;t like the prices don;t buy from them" argument doesn't apply here. The injured party in this case are people trying to make their living selling through ebay.

yeah it affects the sellers account. I normally buy and sell manay things through2 ebay accounts (wife has one as well) and I am annoyed that again they will be raising the fees. The get so much money anyway through listing fees and even if they capped the seller fee at say 5% then they would still be minted!!!!

I sell around 5-8k$ of WH40k a month and other things.

Its the sellers who are getting hurt.

I've been an ebay user for 8 years.

Which means customers will not be able to get products as easily or at least from me~ hah
