Ok, as we all know, I'm the kind of guy who says.
'Screw the normal lists'
And guess what...

...I've done it again.
I've done this army on the spot as I'm going down to one of the big GW stores and it may be the only time this month I get a proper game in.
So I wanted to come up with a list that on paper looks wierd but is able to lay the hurt down.

Heres the list:

HQ
Captain “Lucifer Xoraties”
Artificer Armour
Digital Weapons
Relic Blade: 155

Elites
Terminator Squad “Hades”: 200

Troops
Tactical Squad “Hermes”
Missile Launcher
Meltagun
Power Fist
Combi-Flamer
Rhino: 245

Tactical Squad “Ares”
Missile Launcher
Meltagun
Power Fist
Combi-Flamer
Rhino: 245

Tactical Squad “Hephaestus”
Power Fist
Razorback: 155

I know, I'm taking a combat squad, I must be insane, I've taken it because I hate to combat squad just because I want my HQ to have a ride, that is why I've got a Combat squad, for the Captains ride and for the fact that it is a cheap unit (only 155.) so I can leave it on my home objective in C&C and Sieze ground.

The Termies are an opponent dependant choice, if he takes a really fast army I will foot slog them so they can unleash their weapons from the word go. But if I verse a slow opponent (Gunline IG.) I will DS them so they can pop up behind the enemy and dakka them.

Rip it to shreds.

Just curious, what chapter of Space Marines do you play?... and personally at 1000 pts. I would throw in a lascannon because it is the best armor cracker that I know of for marines...

I play a Homebrew chapter by the name of Dread Lords.
Very new, I'm gonna post up their fluff after I finish writing it.

Not much point in taking a power fist in a squad so small, so I'd suggest dropping it from the combat squad and giving your Terminators a weapon upgrade. Unfortunately a heavy flamer isn't going to accomplish much so you'll need to find five points somewhere to squeeze in either an assault cannon or cyclone missile launcher. Remember that the main appeal of a shooty Terminator squad is their ability to... well, shoot. Without any upgrades, they can't do what they're designed to do very well so aren't really worth taking.

Normally I'd agree full-heartedly, but alas I cannot give them a heavy weapon as doing so would mean having to buy another Terminator Box.

Katie is right. If you want a certain thing you will have to buy it. Also look around for just bits in general that way you can get what you want without buying stuff you don't need.
