Ok my planning for this behemoth was that when he was a Marine he was a big Devastator Guy, and after being intered into a Dradnought he wanted a bit more....... fire power. So they gave it to him.
Hope you enjoy.

The Concept for my guys is the more gold you have on you the Older and wiser you are, and if you have Silver and gold armour then your are really Special :p

But no I don't have any rules in mind as of yet but I might make some up. Did you have anything in mind?

Interesting concept. Is it just for the look or do you have rules in mind?

I am not sure about the lots of gold look; it is well applied but appears a little garish to me.
I agree. He looks a bit like the 'pimp my dread' team got hold of him

Some freehand script and purity seals would probably help break it up a bit.

Cool idea though!

I can see how that would work.

...it probably seems thick because I needed like four layers of GOld just to get a good coat.
I had the same problem with gold.

Have you tried using a brown base coat lightly over-brushed with Tin Bitz? I find it needs fewer layers than straight black.

Hmmm.. not sure.

Fluff-wise, given the other variants, a Heavy Support Dreadnought seems like a reasonable thing for SM to have.

Rules-wise it is most similar to a Defiler: you could say that instead of Daemonic possession it has enhanced recoil suppression around the casket for the same effect.

Alternatively, you could use it as a counts-as predator.

My third thought is to borrow from Obliterators and say it has many weapons but only has the power to fire some of them each turn; maybe represent this by adding some points to the base value and buying more than one weapon per arm.

He's gotta have something to do, no one will give him a HW to shoot so he's got time to kill. Besides if someone assaults a Devistator Dred, the dred cuold just kick them, you'r still talking about a S6 kick or head butt. Devistators are not ment to get into CC, I would imagine the Chainsword is really just standard Equipment for all Sergents.
