Only just seen your post KingAlle, it looks goof save for the following things:

You will need to wear a helmet especially if you end up on a space hulk and other hostile environments.

Your elk hide will compromise your stealth capabilities of your armour as it doesnt have the armour itself has when its repainted black.

Thats all i can think of for now. and welcome to Heresy

Name: Serafeim Pyrrhos

Age: 302

Chapter of Origin: Salamander

Type of Marine: Devastator Veteran Sergeant

Personality: Common among Salamander marines is a generally friendly demeanor willing to lend a hand where possible and seeing himself as something of a shepherd to younger souls. He's the embodiment of quiet persistence to the point of obstinance taking a good amount of time to chew on a topic before committing to the path but when set few have ever moved him for better or worse. Generally his common sense has proved accurate allowing his long lived tenure within the XVIIIth chapter.

In battle Serafeim is loud and raucous bellowing taunts and litanies of hatred towards his foe matched only by the firepower his preference for wargear affords him almost the same way a sportsman would jest with a fellow competitor. While not as obnoxious as a Space Wolf his outgoing disposition has worn on others in the past. That doesn't take away from his dedication and his reputation for pushing completely unassisted is well known. More recently he's fallen under a degree of self-doubt and will withdraw from others preferring to work at his forge hoping to steel his own soul for battle.

Physical Appearance: The Salamander is an anchor standing much shorter than the average marine with a body so wide as to rival that of tactical dreadnought armor. His skin, typical of Salamanders is black as the void with glowing eyes like two burning embers red and menacing along with a bald head, a wide pronounced nose, and full lips. His body is littered with several scars from burns and more slashes more specifically slash marks typical of Tyranid claws and Eldar blades along with brand marks.

More importantly are the brands dotting the marine's body consistent with Hero Marking common among the Salamanders including: the first brand he received on induction into the chapter, the brand of his assignment within the 3rd company as brother devastator marine, the dubious brand of Ymgarl moons, and his personally very esteemed brand in assisting Forgefather He'stan recover the gauntlet of the Forge. There are two brands of considerable note to the Salamander, the first is a very intricate brand on the back of his left hand and a Twisted gnarl looking like smoke over his first heart.

Background: The planet Nocturne is a very dangerous place made unique by the relationship that the Salamanders have with those on the planet. Serafeim was born on the planet and apprenticed under, then sergeant, Adrax Agatone who instructed him in the ways of the forge along with several other young boys of Nocturnes. The boy offered a degree of skill and zeal to be like the Salamander above average and Adrax felt the urge to push him to be selected for service in the chapter. The sergeant brought the young boy before the scrutinous eyes of an apothecary and chaplain as a test of both his body and spirit and finding both adequate accepted Serafeim. Serafeim excelled in the training process even claiming a great salamander as his own to complete the trials much like Vulkan in ages before him.

Following the induction Serafeim was selected for the third company where his years as a neophyte proved unspectacular and he was quickly selected to be an honored Devastator bringing mobile heavy weapons to the fight. He assisted in the purging of several ork infestations and participated in the later stages of the Purging of the Moons of Ymgarl. The devastator was sergeant of a squad of the auxiliary services maintaining a foothold on the surface while the terminators delved deeper into the moon to eradicate the infestation. His last truly notable campaign was his involvement in Forgefather He'stan's pursuit of the Gauntlet of the Forge, one of the nine artefacts of Vulkan. His own company was contacted for their proximity to the Forgefather and they led a campaign against Eldar pirate Iath Bloodweaver bathing countless Eldar in Promethium flame leading up to the claim of the Gauntlet.

The fall of Serafeim was not a pleasant one. In his final service to the Salamander before his Seconding to the Death Watch was against another Ork warhost. He had reasoned that a hard wedge pushed into the Ork lines would be plenty and drove his forces into the breach despite others advice and orders. This action cost the lives of almost all of his own host and 100% fatality rate of their adjoined Imperial Guard attachment. His resolve had been cracked and he questioned himself. Despite the common practice of the Burning Walk Serafeim chose instead to count himself among the Deathwatch to steel his own resolve. Despite being one of the more veteran in the kill team he himself is not the squad leader having chosen to humble himself.

Armour Appearance: A magnificent set of armor tailored specifically for Serafeim. The artificer suit is covered in fire iconography carefully etched into the ceramite along the limbs of the suit as though engulfed in flames, the chest bears the aquila with a dragon's skull at the center. Finally the helmet itself is patterned after the Mark V Heresy era armor with a dragon skin pattern over the surface of the helmet. There are no purity seals that are so prevalent among Astartes on his suit as they've simply burned away and have never been replaced. The only overt show in the armor is the suit's powerpack resembling two serpents mouths open and jutting out adjacent with his shoulders. The armor is bulky and heavy even for Astartes power armor eschewing speed for pure strength and even features the gorget of the Mk VIII and finally culminating in a brazen orange dragon head on a black background on his left pauldron.

Weapons and Equipment: backpack fed modified Astartes flamer patterned after Surtur's Breath burning with a unique propellant that both extends the range and burns with a brilliant ultraviolet flame that scares and inspires. A combat knife, bolt pistol, melta bombs, and frag/krak grenades

Modified for Flamer

It probably took a while to show up due to me being a new member.

Helmet - I'm sure I can compromise on the helmet, especially if we're entering Space Hulks and the like.

Cloak - As my character description points out, Valfar rushes his foes and doesn't really know the meaning of stealth or subtlety.

Librarians = no. They are very hard to regulate without making them over or under powered.

Tech-Marine is open.

So far i have 3 confirmed players with another 7 positions open and by my count we shall be at 8 when the other 5 get their character sheets sorted.

KingAelle, you can have the hide to wear when your on the ship or back at the Watch-Fortress but there is no way they will allow you to wear it during stealth missions.

Name - Jae Caligarus

Age - 114 years old (born M41.735)

Chapter of Origin - Jae hails from the blood Angels where he served as a battle brother with the well renowned 4th company "knights of "Baal". He was inducted into the deathwatch due to his bravery and ferociousness when he was in combat.

Personality - Much like the many others from his chapter Jae is cold and calculated, an attribute branded into him due to his chapters flaw. When with his other battle brothers he indulges in many of the hobbies that the blood angels are known to partake in; such as art and bladecraft.

In battle he has a deranged madness that comes upon him which has caused the sanguinary priests on Baal to question his health. Nonetheless he has gained the reputation of being an outstanding battle brother and comrade even after these questionable moments. His bravery was first noted by the deathwatch during the battle of the Omnissiah's eye and they have been watching him ever since. When they finally came for him he was waiting.

Physical Appearance -

Standing at 7'1 without armour Jae stands slightly shorter than his battle brothers. He is slightly thinner than your average space marine. Which is most likely due to a childhood spent in the radioactive wastes of Baal secundus. His hair is jet black and is cut close to his scalp, clearly showing an array of scars from bolt shrapnel which he was hit by years before. He has dark blue eyes which show a flare of dangerous intellect.

Upon his neck lays a map of high Gothic litanies written by sanguinius during the great crusades. Along with the tattoos he also has 3 adamantium service studs from his years of unwavering loyalty to the emperor and the imperium.

Background - Born on Baal's second moon into the Blood, Jae learned about the dangers of life at a very young age. The threat of mutants and cannibals along with feral animals was great and many of Jae's friends and family died due to these. At the age of 10 Jae had no family and no hope left of Baal, so the village elders put him forward for the trials.

Being a smaller, weaker child, Jae found the trials extra difficult. But he prevailed in the end. Dragging his radiation tainted body to the storm raven where it would take him to the great Baal...his new life.

As the years went by and the people of the Blood that Jae used to know were long dead he would still be serving in the blood angels chapter. From his promotion from the scout company at the age of 65 to the battles he would serve in, he would never forget his home.

Armour appearance - Jae wears a full suit of archaic mk4 power armour which has been in the 4th company since the introduction of the codex Astartes. The armour was given to him upon his introduction to the deathwatch as a gift/trinket to represent his chapter with. On the breastplate of the armour is a large blood drop shaped stone which was carved from Baal's red mountains.

The original 6 vented helmet from the mk4 armour has had 3 of its vents replaced with the Blood Angels chapter iconography. On his right shoulder pad Jae has a number of purity seals rewarded to him over the years. Many of them ragged and yellowed with age.

Weapons -

Plasma pistol
Power sword
Bolter

For the record we have neither a librarian or a tech marine. If worse comes to absolute worst my character could probably double duty as a mini tech marine.
Death Watch Kill Teams don't really go operating full of specialists. We already have a Chaplain and Apothecary. About all the specialists we need. Throwing in Librarians and Tech Marines as well is a little much.

That right there is perfect by me, Abhor the witch. and how are we going to open the surely necessary archeotech doors without a techmarine? D:

Sorry the campaigns I've been a part of usually have a techy, or at least a very tech savvy vanilla marine which I guess I kinda am.

Will the same be said for the Chaplains robes?
Im going to say yes, and most Chaplains dont wear robes anyway only Dark Angels and their successors but im sure Nol's chaplain is smart enough to know not to.

This is going to be very WIP at the moment but I wanted to get it in there.

Name: Oren Ramaer

Age: 164

Chapter of Origin: Red Hunters

Type of Marine: Battle Brother

Personality: Oren is mostly quiet and reserved. He speaks little and when he does it is usually quietly. He is cynical and sarcastic with a sharp tongue that will regularly lash at those he does not respect and his respect is difficult to obtain. He has little time for the brash, loud or arrogant and will attempt to undermine boisterous behaviour and cocky declarations at any opportunity. Naturally instead he respects the quiet, humble and pious. Even so, it takes him a long time to warm to any Astartes outside of his own Chapter.

Being a Red Hunter he holds members of the Inquisition in high regard but only the Inquisitors themselves and not their retainers.

When not in the midst of battle he will most often be found at the rear of a group, saying little and watching those around him closely. He is highly suspicious and will watch for signs of any kind of taint at all times. He can also be manipulative and will also be happy to pick up any signs of weakness amongst those around him that he could use to undermine them later if necessary.

Physical Appearance: Oren is small for a Space Marine, standing a diminutive 6' 11" and relatively lean. His face is narrow and gaunt with a jutting chin and long pointed nose. His eyes are pale, beady and sunken. His brow is low and protrudes over his eye sockets giving him a permanent frown. His head is covered by a thin layer of short prickly black hair. He has a single dark silver service stud above his left eye.

Background: Oren's early life is largely unremarkable. He was born and raised on the Red Hunters homeworld of Montsegma. He was always a strong and healthy child but due to his smaller stature he was often picked on by larger children. Despite this he would never back down from a fight and showed great resilience even when out-sized or outnumbered. When he came of age he was taken as a potential candidate, passing the first trials and began the process to becoming a space marine.

As a Neophyte he displayed high level marksmanship skills and spent many years armed with a sniper rifle in the Red Hunters 10th Company. After being elevated to full space marine status he showed similar skills armed with a lascannon in the 9th Company.

He would eventually progress to the 2nd Company. It was here that Oren would make a greatest display of his skills and would most regularly come into contact with members of the Holy Inquisition. Over several decades fighting in honour guards at the behest of dozens of Inquisitors he would prove himself hundreds of times. After protecting the injured Inquisitor Baijin against a horde of Orks with highly limited ammunition he was granted permission to begin training with the Stalker Pattern Bolter.

With this he would distinguish himself regularly. He broke the Tau lines on Idovar by striking down their Ethereal from 50 feet away. He saved the life of Inquisitor Gobek on Thror by covering his withdrawl from an ambush of Loxatl. He held the Bridge of Saviours on Elsa from it's famous guard tower alone for 6 hours against Kroot raiding parties until reinforcements could arrive.

These are just the events Oren remembers. As is common practice amongst those serving the Inquisition so closely, Oren's mind has been regularly wiped. Large chunks of his memory, sometimes spanning years are simply missing. He even bears honour markings on his armour that he has no memory of obtaining. This is a small price to pay for knowing he has served the Imperium and Inquisition with distinction and when the opportunity arose for him to continue to do so as part of the Deathwatch, Oren didn't hesitate the take up the Long Watch.

Armour Appearance: Oren wears a suit of largely unmodified MKVII armour. It's only embellishments are a number of marksman honours. He bears two on his right shoulder, one either side of the sculpted Chapter badge displayed there. He has three more under his left knee pad and a final one on his left vambrace.

Weapons and Equipment: Stalker Pattern Bolter, Special Issue Ammunition, Weapon Scope, Frag and Krak Grenades, Bolt Pistol, Combat Knife.

I have a Question. Can I have a Really old Marine? Not necessarily physically but age wise?

Kinda shooting for a "The Ancient" vibe. For those of you that know the character from the game. http://dow.wikia.com/wiki/The_Ancient there are some spoilers though if you haven't played.

Also what kind of age would be my upper limit? I won't go older than dante, and in fact will be younger by a few centuries.

I think there would be a limit in terms of how old a marine would be when they are sent to the DW as the marine gets older they are likely to get killed easier i believe as even space marines feel their age at some point.

If you plan on being old then its likely you would be on permanent secondment to the Watch.

I think its really up to interpretation.

Marines never really get to live long enough to figure out what their "natural" lifespan would be.

Edit: Also my Character being a Permanent Member might make sense though as well. As the Chapter I chose has no Lore, but is an Official GW Chapter.
