...with no Plague Marines!

Looking at this, it makes use of the new formations to get buffs where possible. Warband gives VotLW to all units, CoD gives one squad a second shot every turn and the TAF gives targeted for annihilation.

Question is, for a tourney, is this filthy enough to ensure my DG don't finish last?

Well, i honestly think that the terminator formation is just crap. you pay a chaos lord tax to shoot an extra reaper cannon here an there, on a random turn after the first...wow, much value, so heresy. Those three units might as well be suicide melta-plasma squads. i'd consider using, for the same points (an astoundig 540ish) another beefed up COD. you still get to shoot twice, but with better weapons and fro turn1, not relying on unreliable deepstrike and reserve rolls.
Then, chosens with combiplasma...just find 20 pts somewhere and give them regular plasmaguns. otherwise they just are a one trick pony.
About the havocs, i'd go full melta and have the lord ride with them, with another combimelta or powerweapon.
Regular marines could use flamers and meltabombs for that extra flexibility and cover removal goodness, but thats just my playstyle.
what do you think of this stuff?
cheers and GLORY TO CHAOS!

I think it's good to chew over @neferhet!

Thanks, food for thought... I haven't fielded my CSM in a tournament for three years, so these new formations (Thank you, Papa Nurgle!) are interesting to scope out.

Well there's something you should know. The terms can't have reapers in units of three, only 5 man up,as nef said combi is the best option for terminater drop.
Also without at least 1 sorcerer you will be missing out on an entire section of the game. Which at a tournament could be very bad. Also you need a unit of bikes or raptors to make a warband.

Well, interesting... I play seven in a squad and usually take two reapers.

I read that rule as for every five (i.e. one in each five) but I will confirm with tourney organisers if I actually go with the Termies...

And on the Sorceror, there was a cutoff for codices and rules. The Traitor's Hate/cards were preorder on the 3rd and beat the deadline vs Angel's whatever. Outcome is the rules for TH pass, but the powers don't, as the BA stuff hasn't been approved.

I have an 1,850 CF drop pod list that I've been carrying for a couple of years. My CSM haven't left the garage for years. It may be that they stay for a while longer...

I think terminators are decent in certain circumstances but I don't rate the annihilation force. The raptor talon looks far more promising, since you could drop in, melta a transport and charge what's inside. Also if the opponent has reserve manipulation the raptors would still be alright starting on the table if you bunch them up alongside rhinos to hide them until they're close enough to jump out at something. Finding the points for them in this list is another matter though- probably not possible.

Seems a shame not to at least throw a power weapon on the warband chaos lord.

I think the biggest issue is you're trying to get one too many auxiliary choices into this list. Drop the termie formation, buff the chaos lord, maybe add one or two more units to the warband
