There is currently 25 points left over. Should I put them on Extra Armour and Smoke for the Rhino's or invest in some Anti-Tank for the ST's?.

I'll probably post up a 1500 point list when I get the feedback - theres one half done but I'd like to see what you think first.

Anti tank for the stormies definitly, the DH list has very little anti tank already.

Does the Inq lord have a thunder hammer AND a daemon weapon, or just a thunder hammer that acts as a daemon weapon?

What, exactly are the black knights?

Oh lol sorry - The =I= has a Thunder Hammer which I am counting as a Deamon Weapon. Thats just a note for me.

Black Knights are just Grey Knights painted differently.

As for the ST's - does a melta in the rhino squad good?

I would go with plasmas personally, as they have the BS and armor to handle a misfire. More range than a melta, meaning you can fire your hellguns and plas at the same target. Maybe a melta in a dedicated tank-killing unit, that zips in and blows shit up, but don't expect it to survive very long.

Especially in a rhino - if I had the points I'd chuck them in a Chimera.

In the next list I will probably have dedicated squads for each role. Would you recomend that or mixed?

As said definately some anti tank.

Also may I ask why that particular assasin?

One thing that I remember someone doing before as well was taking a multi melta guy in the retinue using him as a tank hunter whilst the rhino is still going, although it does keep you unit in the vehicle, and it will be classed as open topped. But the reroll to hit with a melta (having 2 sages) is a god send in a army that has few AT options

Good idea about the melta serv.

The reason I took the Vindicare flavour was 3 fold:

- I have the mini (well 2 actually)

- I love the fluff

- I (think) I know how to use it - no character kills but Sergants, Heavy Weapons troopers etc.

Hopefully, in theroy, he should then make his point back up.

fair enough, I just cant imagine getting his points back.

Odds:

5 turns he will hit
1 turn he will likely wound (2 to wound shot)
2 turns further wounds from wounding on 4+

Average 3 kills

Okay he causes a pinning test, which could prove invaluable but he is still 110 points?

I must admit I love the fluff as well and would love to take him but I just cant see the value, now the callidus thats a seperate matter!
