Nothing solid yet, but the Dawnofwar3 domain name (admittedly set up in 2008 by Sega) has been updated twice recently, one of which was to change the registrant email to [email protected]. Could be the first signs of Dawn of War 3.

RtS is kinda dead, though, isn't it? They kinda got replaced by MOBAs.

Might be interested to see DoW3 go the MOBA route, but DNA is already doing that just fine and kinda looks much more better.

RTS games are dead, when the hell did tht happen? did I fall in a stasis module and wake up in some terrible future?

if DoW 3 becomes a MOBA then I will be totally disappointed, and the DoW franchise will end with DoW II Retribution for me.

I wouldn't say dead as such, I mean Space RTS's are still going along strong, Total War franchise also, but Base building? Pretty much. The last new one I saw was Planetary Annihilation, and before that? Very little. Unfortunately and from what few I've actually played - though I don't see how or why - MOBA are what's current and popular.

DoW 3 would be pretty cool if it happened, but I very much doubt it will be base building.

It won't be MOBA - We got Dark Arena for that.

They will most likely go back to the base of DoW2 as it was in the beginning; Fixed squads where you can kit them out. The Retribution expansion pack wasn't that well received due to the base building aspect of it, so if they are going for the most safe bet they will return to the formula that works.

Hey, fine by me if they do that to be honest - I loved DoW2!

they would be better off starting another game series under a name other then Dawn of War. if they are going to make a MOBA its to far removed in playstyle from propper RTS games to call it Dawn of War.
