Its been a while since i've catched up on the lore changes for the 40k universe but one thing i really want to know is...

Has the objective for the secret mission or reasons for them being so secretive come out yet?

I knew about the fallen but it can't just be about them i thought something else happened that made some what mytserious especially with Cypher trying to make his way to the emperor.

I only ask because i'm thinking of making either Word Bearers or a chaos renegade force lead by a fallen using the forgeworld models.

Still up in the air. The Star Child theory is not in the DA codex, though I think it does mention something about a pattern to cypher's appearances.

As for secret objectives other than repentance I'm not aware of any myself.

Yeah i took a look on wikipedia (not the best source of info) but its entirely plausible that he wishes to sever the rest of the emperor and return him fully to the warp so that he may be reborn.

The only problem i have with it is how would he know? I think its more believable that he wants to fix the sword rather than kill the emperor.
