Anyone play D2:LoD?

I just got back into it, and damn, its 10 times better than it was a few years ago.

It is so addicting!

(I do not play open, open has boring hacks so it isnt fun, closed is legit and competitive)

Im on the USEast server, account name Anphicar. My characters are a Bone nec named Chuffy and a new javazon named Chuffen.

uber, can you just once not be condescending in a post?

I probably know what it is, i don't what it stands for

p.s. i did look it up, and realize it's diablo 2. didn't realize that, but yes I do know about it, just don't play it. Diablo never appealed to me.

I'm not being condescending, I was in shock. Seriously, I've never seen a 40K player that wasn't into electronic gaming in one degree or another, and D2 was one of the most significant games of more recent gaming history.

I am into electronic gaming, not the same as most of my 40k cohorts. Can't stand WoW, don't like Diablo, in fact most fantasy/sci fi gaming currently is rather 'meh' in my opinion besides maybe DoW because it is set in the 40k universe and i know that well. Outside of my gaming passion, I am a passionate sports fan and most of my electronic gaming time goes into that as most of my physical time goes into the hobby and other scifi/fantasy.

I know about Diablo 2, but when it came out it wasn't really significant to me so I never bothered to know that it was shortened to D2. If you had asked me outside of a gaming environment and I would have thought the it was the 2nd Mighty Ducks movie

Now, everyone please continue with Anph's post and I will stop my unintentional threadjacking :)

After watching a friend of mine log in with an invisibility hack and cast a huge area of effect spell that killed everything within range in a couple of casts so he could loot the bodies, I never played the game again.

Looking forward to them making another though...

I wasted a couple weeks of my summer playing with some buddies. Had a level 67 Jabazon that I forgot existed and she expired. I cried.

I've found that Ladder's generally pretty hackfree. That and I only really played with either myself or people I actually know, so it was pretty good.

Anphicar, if you're looking someone to click stuff to death with, I could be convinced to pick it up again. However, I fear that the stuff Titan Quest fixed will clash and I just won't be able to deal with it. Lemme know.

Yes, that hacking was a problem. On open bnet. And nothing is a "hack" on bnet, as everything is a "hack." Get it?

Closed bnet is hack free. That why it is so fun, so competitive.

I need some fellow H.O.ers to join me in my D2 craze.
