Short Explanation: Does anyone have any tips for playing D&D over AIM?
Long Explanation: A chunk of my close friends have or are about to move away. We have all agreed to stay in close contact, of course, and I think starting up a D&D campaign would be a great way to supplement that. We've played it intermittently before, but I'd like to know if anyone has any advice for playing it over AIM.
I think it would be a good way to play the game since you can, for example, easily scribble up a map in an art program and just slip it on to the chat client for all to see and such. It's rather simple, I suppose, though I'm quite thorough when it comes to working such things out, so any input would be nice as to how to 'format' the game would be greatly appreciated.
We're likely going to loosely play by the games rules, of course, and we trust each other not to bork dice rolls etc. It's a friendly game, after all.
