Simply put, is it possible? I like the idea of an Unmarked Sorcerer with the Balestar joining a unit of Oblits, but I can't get ahold of the codex, so I'm unsure as to whether or not it is legal for him to do so if the Oblits are given the Mark of Nurgle.

It's only conflicting marks that are an issue, not unmarked units. Unlike Daemons, for whom every single unit is always marked (bar only Furies), so...
