So Im currently working on a regular Chaos Space Marine 10 man squad and Im wondering if the regular Marines (not the Aspiring Champion) may have chainswords and bolt-pistols? That they arent limited to bolters only.

I read the codex but Im not sure if the close-bombat weapon, a.k.a chainsword/power-sword, is limited to Aspiring Champion only?k:

ALL standard chaos marines have a bolter, a bolt pistol and a close combat weapon.

The close combat weapon can be a chainsword, a knife, some brass knuckles or a rock, but it will never be a power sword as you stated.

Oh so all (except power-sword) can be chosen to be armed as? Cool thanks for the reply dude. :victory: + rep!
