Ok, we are having an in house tourny at a local game shop at 1500 points. As I just recently learned the horrible absurdness that is the Deff Rolla', I have made some changes to my thinking for a 1500 list. So here goes.

Daemon Prince
Wings
Mark Of Nurgle

Troops
7x Plague Marines
Champ With Fist
2 Meltas
Rhino with Combi-melta

7x Plague Marines

2 Meltas
Rhino with Combi-melta

3x Obliterators

That leaves me with 15 points, and I am unsure what to do with them, thought maybe melta-bombs on all the champs, but I am unsure.

On a side I thought of dropping all the combis and adding in 2 more zerks to bring it up to an unfluffy 10. Regardless of fluff though, thats still 36 S5 attacks on the charge!

15 points is exactly enough to give the Zerker rhino Extra Armour. That thing needs to be in motion at all times, so EA would be a safe bet.

Trust me, nothing sucks more than someone sneaking an autocannon 48" shot through a window first turn and stunning your zerker rhino.

As above, EA on the Zerkers metal box.

Nothing else really needs changing.
Correct number of troops with good wargear options.
Close combat backed up with decent firepower.

As far as balanced and effective CSM lists go, i cant really pick out any flaws.
Nice list.

But just to add, i reckon combi plas on the PM rhino.

I second the EA on the rhino.

You might like to split the oblits into two units so that if the unit of 2 nails a tank then the other can shoot the survivors/another tank.

Aside from that though a very good list. It's nice to see a competitive list that doesn't contain a lash prince:victory:
